Opening Ceremony Viewing Party - Paris Olympic Games
The event is free, but we ask participants to register by emailing us at af@afcincinnati.com.
For the first time in the history of the Olympic Summer Games, the Opening Ceremony will not take place in a stadium. Paris 2024 is breaking new grounds by bringing sports into the city and the same will be true of the Opening Ceremony, set to be held in the heart of the city along its main artery: the Seine.
Winding their way from east to west, boats, floats and barges will carry 10,500 athletes gently cross through the centre of Paris.
NEW LOCATION: Join us for this unforgettable moment live at Le bar à Boeuf, serving French bistro-inspire food and drinks. Doors will open at 1:45 so we can have our drinks in hand when the ceremonies begin at 2 pm. Drinks are on everyone's own. Alliance Française will provide free appetizers for everyone, a nice mixture of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Note that the restaurant is open for dinner. There are a few seats available at 5:30 on July 26 so if you plan on having dinner after the ceremony, book your table quickly.
Here's to the Olympic Games!
