Jewish Moroccan Popular Tales
March is "le mois de la Francophonie", the month to celebrate the appreciation for the French language.
M. Marc Eliany, resident of Fort Thomas, will present one of his books, a collection of Moroccan Jewish folk tales, written in French. Beyond the cheer beauty and poetic aspects of the tales, Marc will contextualize the tales and explain the process of social change and modernization in Morocco.
Join us for an exciting, interactive and thorough conversation in French and English on the traditions of the Moroccan Jewish community, and the influence of the Hebraic and French cultures in the Kingdom.
Oriental Pastries and mint tea will be served.
